CAPANNORI, Tuscany, MIrko Bernardi, founder of Hacking Labs. Hacking Labs was founded in 2009 as the first reuse centre specialising in electronics from these ideas:
A throw-away PC becomes a hazardous waste, we take the potential waste, check it, recondition it with the help of young volunteers and extend its life.

by extending the life of electronic products we do environmental, educational and social work as the reconditioned products go to schools and families in need.

We have been part of Zero Waste since 2013 with an agreement with Rossano Ercolini's Zero Waste Research Centre.

During the 2020 covid emergency period, we reconditioned 400 computers for teaching purposes thanks to the cooperation with schools and various neighbouring municipalities.
